We stand in full solidarity with the people of Ukraine, and everyone affected by this conflict.
The Russian government’s unprovoked attack on Ukraine threatens the vision of an open Europe, where collaboration and sharing of knowledge stand at the heart of research. Such aggression and human suffering are never acceptable and are completely incompatible with the values we hold dear, challenging the fundamental principles of freedom and democracy, which provide the basis for academic freedom and cooperation.
Our thoughts go out to the Ukrainian research and student community, audiovisual translators and their friends and families, and all people affected by this conflict. It is our hope that peace is restored as soon as possible.
